Client - MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University
Agency - SciAni
Working in collaboration with SciAni, I developed a technical animation to explain the unique mechanism of action for AXA1125, a flagship EMM (Endogenous Metabolic Modulator) developed by Axcella Therapeutics. AXA1125 was engineered as a multi-targeted oral therapy designed to support liver health and metabolic function, specifically targeting the complex pathophysiology of MASH (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis).
This film illustrates how the drug interacts with the mitochondria of cells, visualising the complex biological pathways involved in inflammation, fibrosis, and lipid metabolism.
This project served as a critical tool for communicating Axcella’s "multi-target" approach to investors and the medical community, turning sophisticated biotechnology into accessible visuals.
Design and animation by Andy Coram.
