In collaboration with the specialist team at SciAni, I developed a technical animation to communicate the ground-breaking research of Professor Stephanie Watts and her interdisciplinary team at Michigan State University.
The project was designed to explain the core science behind a successful $13.5 million NIH programme project grant—the culmination of four years of intensive research. The study focuses on Perivascular Adipose Tissue (PVAT) as a central integrator of vascular health, exploring its critical role in how our blood vessels function.
My role involved translating complex pharmacological and toxicological data into a clear 3D animation. By visualising the intricate relationship between adipose tissue and vascular mechanics, the animation served as a vital tool for communicating the project’s scope to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and the wider scientific community.
Design and animation by Andy Coram.
